Wishing everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. We wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us while starting this organization. We have already received so much love and kindness and we could not do it without all of you. We hope each one of you has a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with lots of joy. We are beyond grateful to have so many wonderful supporters.

The holidays can be hard sometimes so remember that you are strong and that you can do this. We are sending all of you virtual hugs. Keep in mind that so many people care about you and that you make this world a better place just by being it. Make sure to tell your family and friends how much you love them. Taking a few moments to show how much you appreciate someone can make a world of a difference for them. Whether you are spending Thanksgiving with family or if you are unable to travel home, know you are not alone.

If you are unable to spend the holiday with your family this year, here are some fun ideas to help celebrate:

  1. Order in your favorite take out

  2. Spend time facetiming and calling someone you love

  3. Spend the day volunteering for an organization

  4. Watch your favorite movie

  5. Do something creative (painting, journaling, etc.)

  6. Anything self care related

  7. Spend some time outdoors in the fresh air getting exercise

  8. Listen to your favorite music

  9. Bake some of your favorite treats

  10. Create a list of things that you are thankful for

Whatever you plan on doing, make sure it is something that you enjoy. Take time to treat yourself special on this holiday. You should be thankful for yourself as well as others. You deserve to be thanked too. Don’t forget to show the love you give everyone else to yourself as well.

If you feel alone or need to reach out to someone you can contact San Diego Access & Crisis Hotline : (888) 724-7240 . This crisis line is available at all times so please do not hesitate to reach out to them if you feel that you need to talk to someone.

We will be having our very first CARE week November 29th through December 3rd. During CARE week, we will be hosting speakers to discuss mental health as well as incorporating some fun activities to help students relieve stress before finals. More details to come as CARE week gets closer!
